Adding humor can draw readers in and keep them reading. It's a great way to lighten the emotional toll of a piece, repurpose cut pages from a draft, or changeup an essay that isn’t working. But how exactly do we get our readers laughing, or at least smiling? In this 90-minute workshop we will discuss 8 rules of humor writing (with examples) and perform some humor make-overs of our own work. Please bring an existing piece to play with.
