Creating New Nonfiction - February 2026

Are you writing a memoir? Personal essays? Creative nonfiction? There are so many ways to tell your story, and it’s all welcome in this six-week class. This is a workshop where we write, but it’s not a writing workshop. We’re not critiquing one another’s work or giving feedback. Each week, we’ll examine creative nonfiction forms and draft our own pieces. Whether you want to write micro, or flash, or make progress on a long-term project, this course is your opportunity to experiment, play, and share.

Details: Creating New Nonfiction - February 2026 with Annmarie Kelly takes place Thursdays February 19, February 26, March 5, March 12, and March 19 from 6:30-8:00pm in person at the Literary Cleveland Office, 13002 Larchmere Blvd Cleveland, OH 44120.

Level: All levels are welcome.

Format: Craft and generative workshop with writing in and outside of class.

Location: This class takes place in person at the Literary Cleveland Office, 13002 Larchmere Blvd Cleveland, OH 44120.

Size: Limited to 15 participants (including two scholarship recipients).

Suggested Sequence: Follow this class with a craft and/or generative nonfiction workshop, a feedback course, or a publishing course.
