Each week we are offering suggestions for how to help support our local literary community during the coronavirus crisis. This week (and every week!), we encourage you to support local writers with new books. The cancellation of readings during the COVID-19 crisis means the loss of book sales and income for local writers. We may not be able to gather for an event, but we can rally together to buy and read their books.
What you can do today:
- Order or pre-order a local writer's book
- Wherever possible, buy from a local bookstore or directly from the small press
- Follow local writers on social media
- Spread the word
