Craft Talk

A Guided Novel Workshop for Emerging Writers

With:
Chloe Panta

This online workshop is designed for emerging fiction writers who are beginning a novel or returning to one that has stalled and want clear craft tools, momentum, and community.

Together we will focus on the core elements that sustain long-form fiction: character depth, narrative structure, and forward motion. Each class will combine brief craft talks, guided writing exercises, and supportive discussion, allowing participants to generate new material while gaining a deeper understanding of how novels work.

Writers will explore how to anchor a story in compelling character desire, shape scenes that build tension, and create an arc that can hold an entire book. Optional short readings will offer accessible, diverse examples of craft in action.

Participants will leave with fresh pages, a clearer sense of their novel’s direction, and practical strategies for continuing the work beyond the class.

This workshop welcomes writers at various stages and emphasizes curiosity, experimentation, and process over perfection.
