This six-session workshop invites poets—emerging and experienced alike—to deepen their craft through close reading, discussion, and guided writing exercises. Together, we will explore essential elements of poetry such as image, sound, voice, and form, studying how master poets use these tools to create resonance and surprise. Each session combines brief craft talks, analysis of diverse contemporary and classic poems, and generative writing activities designed to help you experiment and discover new directions in your work. By the end of the course, you’ll have new drafts, sharpened skills, and a stronger sense of your own poetic voice.
