Raja Belle Freeman is a performance poet and visual artist. She has worked as a teaching artist for Lake Erie Ink and Twelve Literary Arts and as a member of the board of South Euclid's community development corporation One South Euclid. She also completed a visual arts residency with Akron Soul Train in 2023.
Emma Klunzinger (she/her) isa poet, librarian, and creative from Cleveland, Ohio. Her work has beenfeatured in Crayfish Mag, the Elevation Review's LKMNDS [pronounced like minds]podcast, and The Mill, and she has been a featured poet in both the Ekphrastacyand Brave New Voices Series through Heights Arts. When not writing orperforming poetry, Emma loves to read, sew, hike, and travel.
Angelo Maneage is a comic, poet, and independent graphic designer living in Northeast Ohio. THE IMPROPER USE OF PLATES, a small book of poems he wrote, is out now from Ghost City Press. His latest collection of hybrid work, called BALL PIT BUCKET FILLED WITH BRIDGE WATER, is also available from Ghost City Press.
Jenna Martínez is a Mexican-American writer and printmaker. She is a finalist for the 2025 Jack McCarthy Book Prize, a 2023–2024 Literary Cleveland Breakthrough Writing Resident, and a recipient of the 2023 Unidos Por El Arte Grant. Her work has been supported by the Macondo Writers Workshop and Community of Writers Workshop. Jenna writes about borders, desire, friendship, and the expansiveness of queerness.
Anywhere between performing poetry, recording music, acting, and handing out homestyle hugs, Substance is determined to leave an impact wherever she may land. Abiding by her life’s mantra, “just here to get better,” Substance is dedicated to artistic mastery, self-development. and spreading love.
Sam Oguntoyinbo (he/him) is a Nigerian-American writer and spoken word poet from Solon, Ohio. He recently graduated with a B.A. in English from Yale University, where he was named a 2025 Yale College Poet and had his poems archived in the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library.
Melissa Vincel (she/her) recently spent two weeks at the Disquiet Literary Festival in Lisbon, Portugal—thanks to the incredibly generous Literary Cleveland Fellowship. She has published poetry and memoir over the last 30 years in hopes of connecting with readers through true stories, nearly-true stories, and wildly untrue stories.
