From April to September 2026, we will be offering free monthly writing groups in each genre at the Lakewood Public Library. Whether you are in the middle of a project or starting something new, these groups are designed to help you draft new work, refine your craft, and build community with other writers. Join us every month or stop by for a single session when you can.

Nardine Taleb is a speech-language pathologist and a writer. She worked as a prose editor at Gordon Square Review for several issues. She is the author of warda, published in 2023 by Passengers Press. Her poetry and fiction stories have been published in award-winning online journals including Electric Literature, The Offing, The Rumpus, Rattle, Frontier Poetry, Tinderbox Poetry Journal, and others.
Jen Jones Donatelli is a certified Co-Active coach, creative facilitator and founder of Creative Groove—a small business offering courses, coaching, and community around the art of creative living.
Jenna Martínez is a Mexican-American writer and printmaker. She is a finalist for the 2025 Jack McCarthy Book Prize, a 2023–2024 Literary Cleveland Breakthrough Writing Resident, and a recipient of the 2023 Unidos Por El Arte Grant. Her work has been supported by the Macondo Writers Workshop and Community of Writers Workshop. Jenna writes about borders, desire, friendship, and the expansiveness of queerness.
