In the rules of submissions, a fiction author must have a completed (and edited) manuscript before attempting to pander to an editor, publisher or agent. Non-Fiction authors, on the other hand, just need an idea. The proposal rules for non-fiction are also stringent, but fear not. This single-session craft talk will cover all the basics of submitting a winning proposal and following every rule to get your manuscript in the hands of a publisher or agent.
