Are you working on a memoir? Thinking of writing one? Looking to get your memoir published?
If so, you are welcome to join our one-day Memoir Mixer, an interactive session where we will meet and mingle with fellow memoirists, make progress on our writing and publishing goals, and share excerpts from our work.
From 10am-1pm you will:
- Get practical craft tips for writing your memoir from experienced instructors and published memoirists
- Meet with other writers at your stage (beginner, intermediate, or those with a completed project) to share tips and strategies for developing your work
- Complete several writing exercises to refine your story, and identify action steps to move your work forward and/or get it out to into the world
After a lunch break we will return and from 2-4pm you will:
- Share short excerpts of your work at an afternoon reading
- Identify next steps
Through this session, you'll have opportunities to connect with fellow memoir-writers, read an excerpt of your work in a supportive community space, and to leave feeling energized and supported.
Note: this program is intended for anyone focused on a book-length memoir or personal essay collection.
