Essays can come in many forms and draw from personal experience, observation, research, reflection, contemporary issues and more. In the personal essay, you are the main character and you get to call the shots. In this four-week workshop, you’ll take a crash course in the craft of personal essays, read examples of the form, and generate new material with writing prompts. Participants will leave the class with several pieces started and a plan to write more.
