Discovering and Enhancing Your Poetic Temperament

Gregory Orr says we are each born with a natural talent for writing poetry in one of four temperaments: Story, Structure, Music, and Imagination. In this five-session workshop we will examine which temperaments come most naturally to you and play with techniques to deepen, vary, and broaden your instinctive style. Sessions will allow for time to share our writing experiments in a warm and welcoming environment. The final session will include ways to refine and revise poems you’ve created.

‍Prerequisites: Any emerging level fiction/nonfiction/poetry writing course

‍Size: Limited to 12 participants (including scholarships)

‍Scholarships: Two scholarship spots are available for this class for writers in Northeast Ohio. Apply by December 11.‍
