Background
Emending Service: 2026 Veterans’ Anthology is an anthology of stories, essays, and poems by participants in Literary Cleveland’s Veterans’ Writing Workshops.
From January-May 2026, Northeast Ohio military service members and veterans gathered in free online creative writing workshops to express their creativity, learn new skills, and share their stories.
This collection is the fourth in a series of anthologies produced by Literary Cleveland's Veterans' Writing Workshops and a celebration of the workshop participants' talent, hard work, and commitment to the program.
This year's anthology continues to showcase our veteran writers' dedication to working on the craft of writing and recognize their unique voices and visions, as well as highlighting their experiences inside and outside of the US Military.
Literary Cleveland's Veterans' Writing Workshops are presented in partnership with the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System. The workshops are one of Literary Cleveland’s Amplify Projects, designed to empower, uplift, and celebrate our many stories of our region.
