Mir Benitz is the author of Fire Power, a sports romantasy due out from Mountain Leopard Press in the U.K. and Little, Brown in the U.S. in Fall 2026. Mir also writes literary and speculative fiction and nonfiction as M. C. Benner Dixon, with publications in The Iowa Review, Reckoning, Literary Hub, Fusion Fragment, and elsewhere. Her debut novel, The Height of Land (2025), was the winner of the Orison Fiction Prize. Millions of Suns: On Writing and Life, a collection of craft writing essays co-authored with Sharon Fagan McDermott, was published by the University of Michigan Press in 2023.
