Uncertainty is…
a natural feeling
that allows one time
to hesitate,
to question,
to consider
what is at
stake.
Uncertainty is…
when the words
you know
like
your own name
fail to rise
in your throat,
condensing
instead into droplets
of forgetfulness that
infect the
air.
Uncertainty is…
the
playground
ofthe
Curious.
Uncertainty is…
a black hole
where our emotions
thoughts beliefs
and ideas
goto
die.
The cord
must be cut
in order for
the soul to survive.
Although one
can recover it is a
steep
climb.
Uncertainty is…
waking up and thinking
COVID19 in your eyes
and its grit are on your feet.
It’s wondering if you’ll ever feel
whole after accomplishing your dreams ....
Uncertainty.
It pleads with us
to look the other way,
weigh the pros and cons,
trust our gut,
don’t take a chance,
dive in,
walk away
and then congratulate
ourselves for making the
“right” decision
… or was it?
