Thirsty breath

empty cup

Miniscule blood droplets

bubbling up on

lines drawn

on the left ankle by

the blade-like

edge of right toe nail

Pain locks horns

with uncertainty

reaching out

and stumbling

crumbling, rumbling,

numbing fear

silence, loud

as constellations

crashing where’s

the consolation

as the broken

starlight sighs?
