Literary Cleveland's Plum City Reading Series brings the country's most interesting and groundbreaking authors to Cleveland to highlight the work of independent publishers while thoughtfully curating celebratory evenings of literature and community.
Join us for our June reading at Loganberry Books featuring three writers with local connections and brilliant brand new books: former Literary Cleveland staff member Danny Caine (How to Defend Books and Why), former Breakthrough Writing Resident Sonia Feldman (Girl's Girl), and Executive Director of Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures Sony Ton-Aime (Konbit).
This installment of the Plum City Reading Series will take place Thursday, June 25 at Loganberry Books (13015 Larchmere in Cleveland. Doors open at 6:30 and reading begins at 7pm to be immediately followed by an afterparty at the Literary Cleveland Offices (13002 Larchmere).

Danny Caine's chapbook Jewish American Dream is the winner of the 2024 Sarabande Books Cahapbook Contest. He's also the author of the poetry collections Continental Breakfast, El Dorado Freddy's, Flavortown, and Picture Window, as well as the books How to Resist Amazon and Why, How to Protect Bookstores and Why, and his latest: How to Defend Books and Why. His poetry has appeared in The Slowdown, LitHub, DIAGRAM, HAD, and Barrelhouse, and his prose has appeared in LitHub and Publishers Weekly. The Midwest Independent Booksellers Association awarded him the 2019 Midwest Bookseller of the Year award. He is a former co-owner of the Raven Book Store, Publishers Weekly's 2022 bookstore of the year.
Sonia Feldman lives in Cleveland, Ohio. She won the PEN America PEN/Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers, and her poetry and fiction have appeared in The Missouri Review, The Southern Review, and Waxwing. She also runs Sonia’s Poem of the Week, a popular email newsletter. Girl’s Girl is her first novel.
Sony Ton-Aime serves as Executive Director of Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures. He is a Haitian poet, translator, and art administrator. His poetry collection Konbit was published by Carnegie Mellon University Press, (2026). He is the author the chapbook, LaWomann (2019), the Haitian Creole translation of Olympic Hero: The Lennox Kilgour’s Story, and co-founding editor of ID13. His favorite book is Gouverneurs de la Rosee by Jacques Roumain. He enjoys cooking and photography.
