Join us in person at the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland for a free writing group intended for queer and trans writers.
From January to June 2026, we will be offering a free monthly multi-genre writing group at the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland (6705 Detroit Ave, Cleveland OH 44102). From July to December, the meetings will move to an eastside location TBD.
Whether you are in the middle of a project or starting something new, Queer Writes: Queer & Trans Free Writing Group is designed to help you draft new work, refine your craft, and build community with other writers. Join us every month or stop by for a single session when you can.
The group will meet every Third Tuesday of the month from 6:00-8:00pm:
January 20
February 17
March 17
April 21
May 19
June 16
July 21
August 18
September 15
October 20
November 17
December 15
NOTE: This group is intended for queer and trans writers to work on craft, generate writing, and build community in a space where they and their work are centered. All are welcome in the group, but we ask anyone attending the meetings that is not LGBTQIA+ to be mindful of the space you take up in the group and the energy you bring into the space, which is meant to amplify the voices of queer and trans individuals that have been historically silenced. Anyone being disrespectful or disruptive may be asked to leave.
Presented in partnership with LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland.
