The 48th Annual Lakewood Arts Festival will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 10am-6pm. This year, as part of the festivities, Literary Cleveland will pair up with Lakewood Public Library to hold a Poetry Open Mic for their part in the Lakewood Arts Fest.
The Poetry Open Mic will take place at the Lakewood Main Public Library (15425 Detroit Ave, Lakewood OH 44107) on Saturday, August 2 from noon-2pm.Anyone over age 12 interested in reading on the mic for the event can sign up below using this registration form, or they can sign up during the event on the physical list that will be on-site.
The open mic will be divided into four performance blocks, each one beginning with a special reader at noon, 12:30pm, 1pm, and 1:30pm.
After each reader, the mic will be open for signed-up readers and day-of attendees to present up to two pieces each.All are welcome to share! Writers living and working in Lakewood, Lit Cleveland members, instructors, and friends, excited festival goers--we encourage everyone that is interested in sharing their words with the community to register for this open mic and sign up to read.
