Everyone has a story to tell. In this 6-week class we will generate new material as well as learn about the fundamentals of memoir writing, including vivid descriptions, setting, character development, point of view, and form. Participants will be expected to complete some readings/writing exercises outside of class.

Lara Lillibridge

Lara Lillibridge (she/zher) is the author of Mama, Mama, Only Mama (Skyhorse, 2019), Girlish: Growing Up in a Lesbian Home (Skyhorse, 2018) and co-editor of the anthology, Feminine Rising: Voices of Power and Invisibility (Cynren Press, 2019). She judged creative nonfiction for AWP’s Intro Journal Project in 2019 and currently serves as a mentor for AWP's Writer to Writer program. She is also the Interviews Editor for Hippocampus Magazine.
