Learn more about the NaNoWriMo process, get tips on planning your novel and maintaining your daily word count goal, and meet other novelists at this fun, informal event. Also check out Lake Erie Ink's Young Novelists Take on NaNoWriMo which begins 10/20 for grades 4-12.

Matt Weinkam

Matt Weinkam is a writer, editor, instructor and the executive director of Literary Cleveland. His work has been published in Denver Quarterly, Sonora Review, New South, DIAGRAM, and Electric Literature. He holds an MA in creative writing from Miami University, an MFA in fiction from Northern Michigan University, and he has taught creative writing as far away as Sun Yat-sen University in Zhuhai, China. Laura Maylene Walter

Laura Maylene Walter is the author of the novel Body of Stars (Dutton, 2021) and the short story collection Living Arrangements (BkMk Press, 2011). Laura’s writing has appeared in Poets & Writers, Kenyon Review, Slate, The Sun, and many others. Laura is a founding editor of Literary Cleveland’s Gordon Square Review and is the Ohio Center for the Book Fellow at Cleveland Public Library, where she hosts Page Count, a literary podcast.
