Found Objects: Writing Inspired by Images Found in the (Digital) Wilds

Laura Maylene Walter

This generative workshop will present attendees with a range of image-based prompts to spark creativity and new ideas. We’ll view digital images from PostSecret, virtual museums, Atlas Obscura, Google Earth, Encyclopedia of Life, and other sources to inspire new stories, poems, or essays. Attendees will have the chance to share brief excerpts of their writing and discuss craft, the writing process, and revision.
