If you have a book-length memoir in progress, this workshop is designed to advance your knowledge of the genre, make significant progress on your manuscript and gain momentum toward its completion in the community of a small, committed circle of peers. Includes instruction; in-class writing; homework assignments; preparation of a 20-page sample of your draft; and the exchange of thorough, respectful critique. Class meets once a month; participants should plan to attend all six sessions.
This is an advanced workshop limited to eight students. To apply, submit a three-page sample of writing from your memoir in progress (double-spaced, 12-point font). Please also describe your workshop experience, what your memoir is about and why you decided to write it, and where you are in the memoir drafting process. Deadline for submissions is December 12. Writers selected for the class will be notified by December 19.
