Writers and Readers: Benjamin Percy keynote reading

This year's week-long Inkubator Festival concludes with a keynote reading with award-winning novelist and comic book maker Benjamin Percy! Percy will read from his newest novel, The Dark Net, converse with local author Brad Ricca about his approach to writing, and take questions from the audience.
Benjamin Percy is the author of four novels, The Dark Net(Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2017), The Dead Lands (Grand Central/Hachette, 2015), Red Moon (Grand Central/Hachette, 2013) and The Wilding(Graywolf Press, 2010), as well as two books of short stories, Refresh, Refresh (Graywolf Press, 2007) and The Language of Elk (Grand Central/Hachette, 2012; Carnegie Mellon University Press, 2006). His craft book — Thrill Me: Essays on Fiction — was published by Graywolf Press in 2016.
He is also a comic book author, and has published work inEsquire, GQ, Time, Men’s Journal, Outside, The Wall Street Journal, The Paris Review, McSweeney’s, Ploughshares, Glimmer Train, and Tin House. His is the recipient of awards from National Endowment for the Arts, the Whiting Writers’ Award, Pushcart Prizes, the Plimpton Prize. He has taught at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
Brad Ricca is the author of the Edgar Award-nominated Mrs. Sherlock Holmes (St. Martin's, 2017) and the Ohioana Award-winning Super Boys (St. Martin's, 2013). He is also the author of a book of poetry, American Mastodon (Black Lawrence Press, 2010), winner of the St. Lawrence Book Award. He is the recipient of a Cleveland Arts Prize for Emerging Artist in Literature. He teaches at Case Western Reserve University and is a lifelong Clevelander.
