By day, Marchaé Grair is the Digital Content Manager at the national office of the United Church of Christ, a progressive Christian denomination. She coordinates social media at the UCC and is the founder and editor of the denomination’s blog, NewSacred.org. She also edited and contributed to "Rise Up: Spirituality for Resistance," a book of spiritual reflections for justice advocates.
Marchaé has been working as a journalist since graduating from the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Kent State University. Her previous work includes freelancing for The Akron Beacon Journal and Ohio.com, managing social media for a winning political campaign, and coordinating social media for Cleveland Pride. She has been featured in Crain’s Cleveland Business’ Twenty in their 20s for her work at the United Church of Christ and for her efforts as the founder and leader of “The Safe Space Ministry,” an LGBT outreach and support group at South Euclid United Church of Christ.
