Story Club Cleveland and Literary Cleveland are proud to present "Hot Water", a storytelling show in which talented tellers will share true stories of times they overstepped, said too much, and bit off more than they could chew. Hosted by Story Club founder Dana Norris.
Dana Norris is the founder of Story Club, a nonfiction storytelling show held in Cleveland, Chicago, Boston, Minneapolis, and Belgrade. She is the Editor-in-Chief of Story Club Magazine and currently writes for Role/Reboot and Cleveland Scene. Her work has appeared in/on McSweeney's Internet Tendency, The Rumpus, Tampa Review, WCPN Cleveland and WBEZ Chicago, among many others. Presented by Cleveland State University, the Arts and Humanities Alive (AHA!) Festival is a three day arts celebration set for June 7th, 8th, and 9th. AHA's! inaugural theme is Storytelling: What Our Stories Tell Us About Ourselves. The festival features a free, all-day book fair, the local premiere of Ken Burn’s new PBS documentary The Vietnam War, talks by multiple best-selling authors, a free dance work shop with Dancing with the Stars’ Karina Smirnoff, and performances of the hit stage productions Love, Loss and What I Wore and The Frog Bride.
