Crossing Borders: Immigrant Narratives at Public Square

Literary Cleveland will present “Crossing Borders: Immigrant Narratives” on Tuesday, June 20 from 7 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 12 from 12 to 1 p.m., and Thursday, July 27 from 7 to 8 p.m.
Experience a staged reading of the emotional journeys of crossing borders—both literally and metaphorically—and what it means to be an immigrant and an American.
Director Marc Moritz has assembled a cast of actors to perform the stories, which are sure to be provocative, moving, heart-wrenching and funny.
Writers featured include Maria Perilla, Viplav Saini, Jill Veleba Sell, Daniel Gray-Kontar, Lola Farron, Bayan Aljbawi, Mary Robles, Elizabeth Figueroa, Jason Jaffrey, Lisa Chiu, Charlotte Morgan, Philip Metres, Lee Chilcote, Laurel Domanski-Diaz, and Thrity Umrigar.
This summer, Cuyahoga County residents and visitors to Public Square in downtown Cleveland will enjoy a variety of free arts and culture programming thanks to Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC) with funding from National Endowment for the Arts and Group Plan Commission, including Literary Cleveland’s Crossing Borders.
