Our world is heating up: the polar ice is melting, the oceans are warmer, the average temperatures have risen. Alongside these alarming events, climate fiction has become an important and compelling genre, including writers like Kim Stanley Robinson and NK Jemisin. Can stories save the world? Or will they only document its downfall? In this class, we’ll read some climate fiction and write the beginnings of our own stories, including in-class writing and workshopping.

Details: Writing Climate Change Fiction happens Saturdays August 3, 10, and 17 from 10 AM - 12 PM online via Zoom.
